CET-Rio has implemented a traffic plan for the J20, the meeting of the presidents of the supreme courts of the G20 countries. Until this Tuesday (May 14), several delegations will travel through roads in the South Zone of the city, especially along the Copacabana coastline, Botafogo, Laranjeiras, and Aterro do Flamengo.

The company is working to ensure that movements occur with road safety and to minimize potential impacts on the city's traffic. Traffic agents will be continuously deployed at the event locations and on the main traffic corridors in the area.

Specifically for this event, and in response to a request from the security forces, some additional measures will be implemented in the region.

Parking will be prohibited until 2 a.m. on Tuesday (May 14) on the following streets:

– Rua da Matriz, between Rua Voluntários da Pátria and Rua São Clemente;

– Rua Real Grandeza, between Rua Mena Barreto and Rua São Clemente;

– Rua Serafim Valandro.

There is specific signage along the route to inform about parking prohibitions. The main recommendation is for drivers to avoid the Santa Bárbara Tunnel and the Botafogo neighborhood, especially on Rua São Clemente and Rua Voluntários da Pátria, from 4 p.m. on Monday (May 13), due to the movement of delegations.

As an alternative route, it is suggested to use the Rebouças Tunnel for travel to the North Zone and Downtown, as well as to the South Zone. The traffic operation is reinforced to enable greater fluidity in the Centro/South Zone axis.
